Good morning Turtle

Great email! I thought I was busy until I saw your ... schedule. All those activities will keep you in good shape and young much longer than an accountant.

Good luck with the car, it has now been initiated and a veteran of endurance races, so it should be all the more ready to compete again.
It was unfortunate that you got bumped – the car seemed to running like a Swiss watch, just add 0.5L of oil each driver change and change the tires every 4.5 hours.  The car was consuming roughly 10L per lap, so... you could get 9 laps in with a 90L tank.

Oddly, Speedy was faster and heavier on the gas in the night, whereas most drivers are faster in daylight and lighter on gas in the dark. Although Speedy did set the fastest lap, he could only get 8 laps in based on fuel consumption, whereas the other drivers could easily do 9 laps and perhaps save one and possibly 2 pit stops over the 24 hours of racing – at least 5 minutes per stop – so the turtle might be faster than the rabbit!

I wish you all the best for your next race. Captain is always right – you need a second car. Kmpec is a very nice young man and deserves one of the driver positions – what a great experience to drive in a race with your son!

As far as a tire changer goes, just go to any accounting office and ask any white headed accountant to help – all snacks and food included – and you will have one in a blink. I’m happy the tire changers didn’t have to pay insurance for the car – or pay for the car repairs.

I would very much like to come back one day and try the “Green Hell” for myself on a ‘Track Day’– but only when it is sunny, dry and warm – an instructor would be nice too! GT3 is only so good….

I had a great time and hope I wasn’t too much in the way – all my best to the whole
PoLe Racing Team – our jackets and shirts arrived today from Captain - with special thanks to you and Captain for making it all possible. Next time my phone rings at 0415, I hope I’ll ask how you are before passing the phone to Michael…..

Cheers, and all the best for your race on Saturday,

Abacus/ Prophet
